Discovering a city is not just visiting monuments, but living it without stress. Tourist passes are the key to doing it lightly: a single purchase that opens the doors to museums, transport and exclusive benefits .
With a single pass, you can access multiple attractions at a reduced price, skipping the lines at the busiest spots . Many also include public transportation and discounts at local shops, restaurants, and tours. Plus, the digital version lets you keep them handy.
The main passes in Campania
Campania currently offers (May 2025) different formulas suitable for every type of traveler : Campania Artecard (from € 26) with over 80 cultural sites often including transport; Naples Pass (from € 34.90) with museum access and discounts in affiliated establishments; okNapoli (from € 42.50) which includes 4 or 8 selected attractions in Naples; Salerno Sacra Pass (from € 5) dedicated to the sacred places of the city; Padula Pass (from € 4) which opens the doors of the Certosa and the civic museums of the Vallo di Diano.
Visitcampania.info is not sponsored in any way nor does it receive money or other benefits from public or private managers of the various tourist passes and has the sole purpose of providing useful and truthful information to potential tourists .
Campania Artecard

Created by Scabec , a regional company that promotes Campania’s cultural heritage , the Artecard pass is the right choice for those visiting Naples or Campania for the first time and who don’t want to miss the most famous attractions. You can choose between different formulas (Naples 3 days, Campania 3 or 7 days, 365 Gold and Lite) that include a variable number of entrances and in some cases also public transport.
Available passes
You can choose between different types, suitable for every type of stay:
- Napoli Artecard 3 days : access to 3 sites in Naples + transport included. Price: € 27.
- Campania Artecard 3 days : access to 2 sites in Campania + transport included. Price: €41.
- Campania Artecard 7 days : 5 cultural sites included, without transport. Price: €43.
- 365 Lite : annual subscription, 1 entry per site. Price: €26.
- 365 Gold : annual subscription, 2 entries per site. Price: €50.
What does the pass include?
The passes offer free admission to a predetermined number of attractions among those affiliated with the site. Discounts apply beyond this threshold. In addition, many sites, even beyond those listed on the official Artecard website, offer discounts reserved for Artecard pass holders . For example, the Catacombs of San Gennaro and San Gaudioso offer discounts that are not listed on the official Artecard website. Always check at the ticket offices or on the websites of the individual attractions you want to visit. Some passes also include unlimited use of public transport of the Consorzio Unico Campania (buses, metro, funiculars, regional trains), while some special services such as the Alibus and the lines for the Coast (Metrò del Mare) are not included.
How it works
The purchase takes place online (via the website or the app> artecard), or at the Artecard Points in Naples and Campania . After purchase, the activation of the pass, possible from the day after purchase , is simple: just one click and you will have two separate QR codes, one for museums and one for transport if included. The validity starts from the first use .
Concessions
Reduced rates are available for young people between 18 and 25. Children under 18, however, have free access to state museums .
Events and extra benefits
With Campania Artecard you can participate in exclusive events, evening visits and preview exhibitions , often taking advantage of free or reduced admissions. And thanks to the skip-the-line function, you save precious time in front of the ticket offices.

Compare, Plan, Save
In conclusion, which pass is right for you? It is very difficult to evaluate and compare the various passes. In general it depends on the time you have and what you want to visit .
If it’s your first time in Naples or Campania , you’ll probably want to visit the most iconic attractions such as the Pompeii excavations, the Archaeological Museum of Naples and the Royal Palace of Caserta. In this case , the most convenient pass is Artecard .
If, however, you have already visited the most iconic attractions and want to explore new and alternative ones such as Naples Underground and the Catacombs, then Naples Pass may be the best choice .
The same goes for the okNapoli pass . If you plan to visit the sites included in the carnet then the pass will allow you to save money.
All passes allow you to skip the ticket line . However, keep in mind that even if you buy individual tickets online for the attractions you intend to visit , you will still skip the ticket line .
The options that include public transport are included without extra charge in some Artecard passes (Naples 3 days and Campania 3 days). All Naples passes, however, include the possibility of urban public transport in Naples with extra charge . In this case the option is not convenient apart from the convenience of managing everything with a single app. In fact, the passes that can be purchased through the Unico app are cheaper (1 day €4.50 instead of €7, 7 days €13.50 instead of €27).
The purchase options for the various passes are independent of residency . This means that you can purchase Artecard 365 even if you plan to stay only 3 days but are thinking of organizing some other visits to Campania. You will be able to continue to use the pass already purchased. This choice is especially valid if you live in a neighboring region and it is therefore easier to organize more trips in a year, even day trips.
Artecard 365 subscriptions are excellent especially for residents of Campania . At a truly convenient price (€26 or €50) you will have the opportunity to explore the immense regional artistic and cultural heritage for a year from the first use. You can discover that the alternative to Sunday at the shopping center is truly within everyone’s reach .
In general, the advice is always the same: plan your trip, choose the sites you want to visit, check the price of a single access, verify if they are included in one or more passes… and do the math . Often the savings are significant.
