Ficocella Beach is one of the most picturesque bays on Capo Palinuro . Ficocella is very different from the large sandy beaches of Cilento . The intimate and secluded bay is surrounded by rocks and Mediterranean vegetation . The beach consists of fine sand and small pebbles . The seabed is mostly sandy and slopes gently in the first few meters , a feature appreciated by those traveling with children. In the stretches near the rocks, the sea is perfect for snorkeling and swimming among the fish .
